More Embroidery!

I am going on a Textile Tour of Hong Kong and China in May. We had the final itinery meeting on Saturday so it is really happening and I am excited. Nikki Deport Wepener and Kerryn Lightfoot are planning the trip for us. Only 8 of us going so it will be good. I have done classes with Nikki and her mum before and Kerryn owns the embroidery shop that I go to. We will be seeing private collections and also taking classes with Masters of their craft. Still 5 weeks away but I am planning!

On the home front I am stitching away at my crazy patch embroidery and going to Annie Huntley's once a month so am ejoying that too.

Went to the Craft Expo last Friday and caught up with Prudence Mapstone. I am doing a couple of classes with her at Koala Conventions this year. Prudence made the scarf in my previous post.

Marvelous March!

I have had a very busy week! I went to Annie Huntley's last Friday and I had forgotten just how much I enjoy her workshops. I dug out my Crazy Patch and wasn't as far along with it as I remembered. Thought that I had completed the embroidery and had just the ribbon embroidery to do....wrong! I still have some embroidery, beading and ribbon work so I am planning to go to Annie's once a month. this year will definately be my year to complete some projects.

Then I was trawling the internet and jumped onto Prudence Mapstones Etsy Shop. I am doing another workshop with her in July at Koala Conventions. She had some great pdf files on fringing and bullions. So I bought and downloaded them. Then.....she had the most gorgeous scarf for sale. Lots of bulliony goodness and autumnal colours so I had to buy that too. (My poor Visa card!)

On top of all that my 3rd installment of Debbie Abrahams Mystery Blanket parcel arrived! I can't wait to get into that this month too! It is definately a nautical theme and the colours are just glorious.

I have also been knitting of an evening and have completed the back of a drapey vest in Sublime yarn in a soft moss green colour. It has been so wet this week that it is a good project to do in front of television as I don't have to concentrate that much.

I want to get a new camera also. My camera is great for snaps but photographing embroidery projects isn't detailed enough. OK that's enough now!
