Discipline and Progress! The New Years' Resolution.....

I have finally begun the arduous process of finishing some of my projects. I have begun far too many over the last 2 years and have only finished 2 or 3. I keep getting side tracked and have at least 20 more on the go! Anyway, this week I have tried to be disciplined and am working on the Tree of Life crewel work project for about an hour or so most days. I did the workshop with Margaret Light in September last year and hadn't picked up the panel since then. I am pleased with how it is going, even though I won't be finished any time soon!

In the evenings I am still knitting as I can do that and not have to concentrate too hard so I can watch a dvd or television. I finished crocheting my first pansy! The first time I did it I made a bit of a mess so had another go and it is gorgeous! Only another dozen or so to go and then the leaves! I am making this teacosy from a pattern in Diana Lampe's Embroidered Pansies book.

Yes Another Tea Cosy!

I finished this tea cosy 'Sandwich, Anyone?' just before the New Year. She is from Loani Prior's Wild Tea Cosy book. I am loving getting back into knitting and crochet and while it is so hot, tackling smaller projects. I have started another from Diana Lampe's Pansies book and of course it is a Pansy Tea Cosy.

I am rather excited because I have enrolled to make Debbie Abrahams 2010 Mystery Blanket. I was hoping to make one last year but didn't get around to it until all the places had been filled. Debbie uses all Rowan wools for her projects so I am looking forward to my first parcel arriving next week. Just enough time to complete another tea cosy!

I will become more disciplined this year and get a move on with some of my embroidery projects too. I just wish there was more time in the day!
